Background & Strategic Goals

The project originated from a need to modernize a traditional steel production environment where physical topography—specifically a significant height difference—stalled operations. Our goal was to apply our “people-first” digitalization strategy, giving managers the tools to see beyond the warehouse walls. We aimed to transition from reactive troubleshooting to predictive logistics management, ensuring that every truck movement and coil placement was accounted for within a unified ecosystem.

Implementation & Methodology

Leveraging our expertise as an official AnyLogic partner, we built a high-fidelity simulation model that mirrored the plant’s unique constraints. By syncing OT-IT data, we analyzed truck routes and forklift flows in a virtual sandbox before implementing physical changes. The integration with NVIDIA Omniverse allowed for an immersive 3D visualization, enabling stakeholders to walk through the plant virtually and witness the impact of “what-if” scenarios, such as adjusting gate operation times or storage layouts, in real-time.
